Lorna chose The Million Dollar Question from Normal Everyday Life. "I chose this post because it is beautifully written and she shows in her writing, that no matter whether you choose to work or stay at home you are and do have worth in the world."

teacher appreciation 5

Debbie chose Teacher Appreciation from Three Kids and a Fish. "I chose this post because I have so many kids that have often had the same teachers as their siblings. I love showing my appreciation to their teachers but it's hard to not just keep giving the same thing over and over again. These printables make it so you can give a teacher something nice to say how awesome they are but with a sweet personal twist to it."

highlo2

Michele chose High-Low Chair Vignette from The Coconut Head's Cancer Survival Guide. "It's my favorite because it shows how upcycling from a yard sale of Restore can make something new and usable again. Sometimes the best things in our homes are ones that have character or have a story to tell."

Katie chose We Made a Flower "Bed" for the Greenhouse from Penny's Vintage Home. "I chose it because Penny has clearly taken so much care over making sure her greenhouse is not just a place to pot plants, but a haven of beauty and tranquility. It's so romantic and quaint - the flower "bed" is just wonderful and so unique!"

LNMtitle

Juanita chose Loch Ness Monster, Free Pattern from Pickled Okra by Charlie. "I love how cute the Loch Ness Monster turns out, and the simplicity of the instructions. I can't wait to try making one myself."

sleepless

April chose Sleepless In Atlanta Pt.2 from New Mama Diaries. "As I struggle with the same problem, Tenns just wants her son to sleep through the night. Don't we all?"

Change Your Thoughts and Change Your World

Stacey chose Change Your Thoughts and Change Your World from Darlene Nemeth. "It took me a long time to realize that I needed to change my negative energy to positive energy and when I did it things started to change in my life. I still struggle at times, but I have to say that the positive thoughts have brought about many positive changes in my life."

10-Things-Ive-Learned

Natasha chose 10 Things I’ve Learned as the Parent of a Child with Special Needs from From ABCs to ACTs. "This post is beautifully written, and can apply to every mom with every child. A must read!"

Ann (That's Me!) chose A Better Me: Accepting The Person I Need To Be... from Twist & Sprinkle. "I appreciate Kristy's honesty and connection to her readers. She reminds me of what I feel blogging should be :->"

Miss Poodle Perm, That's Me!

Jill of Scary Mommy is doing a linky post about school pictures. You know the ones, possibly you didn't smile a sweet smile, just the smirk of panic. Or you didn't know it was picture day because you had been out sick for a week and you show up in your most comfortable shirt and bed-head. (Yep. That happened to me. The smile was good though!) Well, my scanner isn't working or else I would post a particular picture from Freshman year. Since I don't have a visual, here's the story: I remember my first day of High School. Actually what I remember is the picture taken of me leaving for my first day of High School. I'm wearing a brave smile, but the hair, the hair , my hair style was a nightmare. My two best friends and I were going to be attending a High School out of our district. That was stressful enough. To add to this new-ness we wanted new looks as well. K. was going to sport the Argyle and Alligator shirt look. W. was going for 'All Monogram

My Questions Answered By Chef Pati Jinich - Video

Rob and I have been focusing on finding foods and spices that will help us take some weight off.  I've been slightly obsessed with staying on my exercise track (on week 8 now :->) and hope to get rid of this jiggly belly that has become wa-a-a-ay too comfortable on my body.  The older you get the harder it is to lose weight.  What I would say to my 40 year old self - 'See that pouch starting?  Do your crunches and planks now!  7 years from now it's going to get ugly !' I've found that spices cumin, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and turmeric are noted to increase metabolism.  ( Yes please !)  After a good workout coconut water is more beneficial in regulating your electrolytes, and lower in calories, than sports drinks.  It also contains more potassium than other drinks which is an important component in helping to build muscle which, in turn, helps you burn more calories. And my most surprising discovery - eating avocados help burn belly fat! I&#
