Cathy chose Cheese cake with marshmallows and chocolate chips from Something Sweet. "I can't wait to try this recipe! I love cheesecake and s'mores so I know I'm going to love this!"

Chocolate mousse in chocolate cups IMG_2987

Cathy also chose Chocolate Mousse in Chocolate Shell from Foodista. "I love how easy this recipe is, yet the results of the finished product are impressive! Serving these at my next party!"

Kimberly chose Surprise! Welcome to the Netflix Stream Team! from Adventures of a Jayhawk Mommy. "I am so jealous of Denise's membership on the Netflix Stream Team. I had never heard of it and am trying to figure out how to join. My family is already a fan of Netflix, but even more so after reading this post."

Kimberly also chose 7 Things Mothers Do That Are Taken for Granted from The Brown Girl With Long Hair. "Courtney's list of 7 things is on the money. As I read 'We're constantly in demand', my 6-year-old walked into the room and interrupted me to ask for something. Bingo!"

April chose Why You Should Vote for Candace Cameron Bure on DWTS... from Some of the Best Things in Life are Mistakes. "As clothes get skimpier, there's a star willing to help the rest of us moms out there show that beauty is more than wearing nothing. Amy makes a convincing case on why we should vote for Candace Cameron on Dancing with the Stars."

April chose Hello Neurosis, How I've Missed You from Meltdowns, Breakdowns, and Time-outs. "Sometimes we want to believe that we have full control of our emotions, but because we are women, there are times when we just don't. And that's ok! Here's one mom's adventure in weaning from breastfeeding and the after effects!"

Melissa chose 7 Ways To Nurture Your Child's Happiness from LadyBlogger. "I'm always a fan of pieces that talk about children's happiness, because to me it's so important. But Bonnie took it a step farther in her piece: she talked about being happy in your own life, and reflecting it back to your kids. I think this is spot-on advice, and sometimes we forget that if we just let our children watch others experience happiness, they usually will figure out how to achieve it for themselves!"

Melissa also chose A Time to Mourn and a Time to Dance from Vashti Quiroz-Vega's Blog. "Vashti's is always one of my favorite blogs to visit because she has a magical way of mixing words and finding a topic that draws you in completely. So it was with Time to Mourn, Time to Dance. I found myself just dying for the next chapter and still waiting for more! Her writing challenges you to create some of the mystery for yourself while still being a satisfying meal. For fiction lovers, this is the place to be!"

Jessica chose Learning to not compare from What's Up Fagans? "The post reminded me of a family member who always compared others and was so miserable with herself. I made the same recommendation to enjoy what you have rather than saying "I wish" or "If only". I loved the Stephen Covey reference to the post since 7 Habits is my all time fave book! Awesome post and awesome advice for anyone looking to live better with themselves :)."

Jessica also chose Getting Growing from Happy Pretty Blog. "I'm growing a garden again after a one year hiatus. Her experiences reminded me of "stupid" directions and decided to go rogue myself! Loved her greenhouse idea of using a mason jar! I may need to do that for a couple of seeds I'm trying to grow too!"

Can Negative People Change

Stacey chose Can People Change? from Darlene Nemeth. "This is such a great post! I would also have to say yes, but I think the most important key to the change is to recognize the negativity. I used to always see the glass as have empty, until I finally realized that something needed to change and that was me."

hard boiled eggs

Stacey chose Deviled Eggs from Organizer by Day. "These are just so cute and such a perfect Easter delight. Our family loves deviled eggs during Spring and Summer cookouts. I may just have to try these."

Angel chose Pizza Casserole from Adventures of a Jayhawk Mommy. "This pizza casserole is awesome! Who doesn't love PIZZA."

Angel also chose Carrot Cake Cookies are a Easter Treat from Foodista. "Carrot cake sandwich cookies from Cooking Classy are a sweet Easter treat. Inspired by classic carrot cake, two fluffy carrot cookies are smashed with cream cheese frosting."

Natasha chose Being a happy mother by valuing it from What's Up Fagans? "Katelyn's post is completely beautiful. I don't have twins, but I understand the drastic transition into motherhood and learning to find the value in the experience. I admire her for admitting that she loves being a mom but doesn't always enjoy it. I love my son, as she loves her children, but motherhood is definitely hard!"

Natasha also chose Same Sex Marriage from British Mum USA. "Raymanda, you have touched my heart, kept my mind open (it was already open but opened further), and I have stopped and listened. That was your goal with this post - and you have achieved it. Even if only one person stopped and listened, you have achieved your goal. Wishing you the best!"

Miss Poodle Perm, That's Me!

Jill of Scary Mommy is doing a linky post about school pictures. You know the ones, possibly you didn't smile a sweet smile, just the smirk of panic. Or you didn't know it was picture day because you had been out sick for a week and you show up in your most comfortable shirt and bed-head. (Yep. That happened to me. The smile was good though!)

Well, my scanner isn't working or else I would post a particular picture from Freshman year. Since I don't have a visual, here's the story:

I remember my first day of High School. Actually what I remember is the picture taken of me leaving for my first day of High School. I'm wearing a brave smile, but the hair, the hair, my hair style was a nightmare.
My two best friends and I were going to be attending a High School out of our district. That was stressful enough. To add to this new-ness we wanted new looks as well. K. was going to sport the Argyle and Alligator shirt look. W. was going for 'All Monogrammed, Al…

6 Things to Do to Improve Your Homes Water Quality

Water is an essential element that everyone needs for drinking, washing, and thriving. Many people don’t take the time to think about the quality of their water in their home. If your water quality is poor, that may have an impact on your health and your family’s well being. Whether you get your water from a well or your city’s water service, it’s important to think about its quality. Here are 6 actions you can take to help improve your water’s quality.
1. Test Your Water
It’s a smart idea to periodically test your water. If you are purchasing a new home, building new construction, or signing a new lease for an apartment or condo, make sure you test your water before moving in. There are inexpensive home water testing kits you can easily complete yourself. Home testing kits can give you a better idea of the chemical concentration of your water and whether or not there are any contaminants in your tap.
2. Find the Source
