Oh dear, it seems the grey skies of the Pacific Northwest
Fall are beginning today. The older I
get the more I dread the grey skies. It
wasn’t always this way for me, but the feeling grows and grows as the years go
by. I need to start taking Vitamin
D. I think fish oil is something I’m
supposed to take for the lack of sun too. I need to look into that.
I’ve always envied those that can travel to warm climates
when they’re cold and cold places when they’re warm. What a luxury! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to say, ‘Dah-ling, I just can’t take this rain
any more. Let’s fly to Florida!’ Perhaps I’m watching too many old movies on
TCM.
Maybe, when we reach retirement age, Rob and I will live
someplace that’s warm more often than not.
There are so many places I’ve never been but would love to check
out. I’ve never been to Hawaii, so that’s
on my list. I’ve always wanted to visit
South Carolina and Georgia. I’ve seen gorgeous
neighborhoods on-line that seem to come from a movie set. Savannah looks amazing and I feel compelled to
see the Okefenokee Swamp with my own eyes.
(If only for the chance to say ‘Okefenokee’.) I like to be by the water and Georgia is
filled with lakes and islands to visit. Who knows, we may end up in a beautiful
retirement community in Georgia! Yes, I’m
planning a head just a bit, but it’s nice to be organized.
