30 Days About Me: Days 5 -6-7

I almost did a little Laverne & Shirley there "A 5,6,7,8  - schlemiel, schlimazel, Hasenpfeffer incorporated!"

I have some catching up to do on my 30 Days About Me... hosted by A Daily Dose Of Toni.  Now, where was I...

Day 5:  ~~~Favorite Quote~~~

Here's the thing, I don't really have one.  It's not that I don't like them, it's just that I don't have a favorite quote.

Day 6:  ~~~Most Treasured Item~~~

Oh, that's easy!  Just kidding.  None of these writing prompts have been easy!  (But that's ok.  Toni's doing a great job with these thought provoking prompts.)

Most treasured item... well, I have a small porcelain baby doll that was given to me by my mom and dad when I was very young.  It's followed me through out my life, always sitting on top of my chest-of-drawers.  My parents divorced when I was 11, and the fact that it was a gift from both of them is probably why I keep it so close.

Day 7:  ~~~A Photo That Makes You Happy~~~

I love pictures!  So many make me happy.  Here's one from my birthday:

Me with my beautiful daughters and husband

I would love it if you participated in 30 Days About Me... also.  Please visit A Daily Dose Of Toni and join the fun.  (Let me know if you do :-> )

Miss Poodle Perm, That's Me!

Jill of Scary Mommy is doing a linky post about school pictures. You know the ones, possibly you didn't smile a sweet smile, just the smirk of panic. Or you didn't know it was picture day because you had been out sick for a week and you show up in your most comfortable shirt and bed-head. (Yep. That happened to me. The smile was good though!) Well, my scanner isn't working or else I would post a particular picture from Freshman year. Since I don't have a visual, here's the story: I remember my first day of High School. Actually what I remember is the picture taken of me leaving for my first day of High School. I'm wearing a brave smile, but the hair, the hair , my hair style was a nightmare. My two best friends and I were going to be attending a High School out of our district. That was stressful enough. To add to this new-ness we wanted new looks as well.
