Psst! I'm Over Here!

A fantastic BBF has gone and left me for Cabo. Go figure.
She asked if I would fill in the void one day, so go over to Mary Anne's place The Stilleto Mom and see what I've come up with.

About Last Night

Ah, the VP Debate. I'm glad it happened. I'm glad we were able to hear Gov. Palin and Sen. Biden speak.
I'm proud of Biden and I think he did well. And I especially like his new last name that was given to him by Palin. Maybe it's her nickname for him, O'Biden. I heard her refer to the "other ticket" as Sen. Obama and Sen. O'Biden. Hmmm.
And I must commend Palin. I think she did well also. I mean come on, she really hasn't had a whole lot of time to prepare to be Vice President, let alone President, has she? I wonder if she ever sits back and thinks "Boy, if you had told me 6 months ago that I would be offered the chance to be the Vice President of the United States of America I would have said... well, um, I would have said... John-McCain's-a-Maverick! God Bless America!"
(McCain's got a great little parrot act going. Palin want a cracker? "Maverick!")
Oh, you Republicans out there, relax. I'm just having a little fun.
Who ever wins the election I pray to all of the Gods and Goddesses, to all the powers that be, that they get us out of the tremendous hole we are in and put us back in right direction.

Well, my scanner isn't working or else I would post a particular picture from Freshman year. Since I don't have a visual, here's the story:

I remember my first day of High School. Actually what I remember is the picture taken of me leaving for my first day of High School. I'm wearing a brave smile, but the hair, the hair, my hair style was a nightmare.
My two best friends and I were going to be attending a High School out of our district. That was stressful enough. To add to this new-ness we wanted new looks as well. K. was going to sport the Argyle and Alligator shirt look. W. was going for 'All Monogrammed, Al…

Water is an essential element that everyone needs for drinking, washing, and thriving. Many people don’t take the time to think about the quality of their water in their home. If your water quality is poor, that may have an impact on your health and your family’s well being. Whether you get your water from a well or your city’s water service, it’s important to think about its quality. Here are 6 actions you can take to help improve your water’s quality.
1. Test Your Water
It’s a smart idea to periodically test your water.
