When I hear women go absolutely crazy over chocolate I smile, nod and wonder... 'why'?
When I see a funny quip about women's love for shoes I smile, nod and think, 'I have to wear them, and that's why I buy them.'
I'm sure, when I was younger, I enjoyed chocolate. But it just doesn't get me now. I mean, I don't crave it. I could be so-o-o-o-o hungry and chocolate could be the only thing in the cupboard and I do believe I would pass it by. But it seems like I'm the only woman around who feels this way. It's like I'm missing a Woman+Chocolate DNA link or something. Honestly I ask, what's the deal with chocolate?
Now shoes. Shoes are a clothing item that is a necessity for most parts of the United States. (I haven't visited Hawaii yet but I have a vision that you walk around bare foot with flowers in your hair.) I need to protect my feet, so I buy shoes. I'm 5'10", and have been since I was around 14 years old, so heels have never been "my thing". Perhaps that's one reason why choosing shoes isn't always so special. I mean, there aren't many flats that you look at and think, 'Wow. What construction! What style! So pretty." With flats it's pretty much 'How's the arch support?'
Maybe if I were shorter I would enjoy shoe shopping. But I'm not, so I don't.
Now handbags? Now were talking!
So there's my Tuesday Truth. I don't really like chocolate and I don't really like shoes. How about you?
