I Blinked And This Is What Happened

If it's Thursday it's time to participate in Mama Kat's Losin' It Writer's Workshop.   Today's Prompt:
~Begin a post that begins and ends with the same line.

Ann Again... and again

I used to have little girls.

That's Katie on the left and Lily on the right.  Ages 6 and 3.

Lily was in the process of growing out a bang trim that she had given herself with Safety Scissors.  Katie smiled much easier then and was happy to wear pink.  Now, Lily, at age 12 won't let you near her hair with scissors and Katie, age 15, wouldn't be caught any where wearing any pink of any kind.

Now I have a 12 year old who has her ears pierced and is dealing with the hurt of a BFF's change of heart -

Ann Again... and again
and wants to color her hair red.

And a 15 year old who loves catching butterflies in the great outdoors, is a Freshman in High School -

Ann Again... and again

and wants to get her driver's permit.

I used to have little girls.

  1. Because you deserve a first comment which isn't spam (what the heck? I don't understand why people waste time with that kind of thing? Kind of feel sad for them.)

Kids keep growing and being less simple. I think she'd look good with red hair. God help ya' on that driving thing. I have lived through teaching four kids to drive. Sometimes just barely, but I'm still here today!

    1. Thank you Tammigirl! (I deleted that spammy comment. It's been happening a LOT lately. So annoying.)

So you've made it through four driving lessons? Just the thought makes me shudder. You are a brave woman! (How about heading to Portland and helping my girl? ;-> )

  2. Oh my gosh, I blinked and the two little girls at the top of your post were suddenly (practically) TEENAGERS at the bottom of your post. How did you do that!?!
