(I'm sure you're fine people. I'm just tired and my kids are grumpy.)
Come on!
How necessary is this? Do we really need to go through this twice a year? Why? I mean really. Why-y-y-y-y-y???
When my kids complain about not being able to wake-up, I don't say this out loud but, I'm right there with them. Heck, it takes me a week to not look at the clock and say "It's really 2:00, not 3:00".
I don't mind change. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, is this really necessary? Here's a great website that's trying to help me out. Daylight Saving Time - Why, When, Where?
Now for happy news for a particular someone....
It seems that 13 was the lucky number for a Virtual GNO guest who entered the giveaway from Robin at Cinnamon & Honey. Martha from The Daily Grind is the lucky winner! (Please know that I went through every comment and wrote down those that noted their favorite design in their comment. We had a total of 31 entries. Winner chosen using Random.org.)
Robin and I thank those that entered this giveaway. And thanks to all the guests at the Virtual GNO! Friday nights keep getter better and better!

I sooo agree! The time change kicks my butt every single time. I would prefer to leave nature the way it is!
ReplyDeleteThe whole daylight savings thing really does blow. How's this for an idea: leave the clocks alone! No forward, no backward. There. Fixed that problem.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the Daily Grind! Hope you enjoy your cards. :)
I think daylight savings is a waste of time. (get it..."time"...hehe)
ReplyDeleteTotally on board with ya... HATE... I mean HATE it! Doesnt really need to be done does it? It takes us a long time to get used to the change! UGHH
ReplyDeleteI never used to hate it until I had kids. now it's my arch enemy lol
ReplyDeleteI am a lucky girl because I live in Arizona! Our time stays the same! I think we are the only state where there is no time change. I feel your pain though...I used to live in Ohio!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
i loathe it for the first week, then i mellow out.
ReplyDeletei actually like the dst for the extra daylight...so do my kids, but they're older. what sucks is not being able to wake up cos you're thinking it's way too early to get up lol. my kids actually did o.k. this morning though.
ReplyDeleteSo that's why Mikayla is on the couch this afternoon, practically comatose! I forgot all about it!
ReplyDeleteWtg Martha!!!!!
Justine :o )
Grumpy and blearyo-eyed here too. They changed the time change date by a few weeks at both ends to extend it. I guess they have their reasons but it doesn't make me happy.
ReplyDeleteIt's like jet lag meets hangover!
ReplyDeleteps Friday was my 1st VGNO, it was fun, I'll be back again if I can remember through this fog.
Daylight saving time is RUDE.
ReplyDeleteWhoever (or is it whomever?) thought up DST didn't have to blast children out of bed in the morning OR try to get them in bed at night. Fiona, my 4 year old, was running around at 10 p.m. tonight. Grrr....
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! DLST is a party pooper :O) Congrats to Martha!!!! See you all Friday
ReplyDeleteUgh...daylight saving time is so inturupting my life!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree w/ you--can we get this eliminated??
ReplyDeleteFirst, congrats to The Daily Grind. Secondly, I am sooooo onboard with your complaint. I try to be chipper and not complain about the time change, but I need my one hour.
ReplyDeleteWho can I talk to? I don't take things to litigation, but nowadays people are suing for anything. I believe this is a legitimate case. Someone stole my hour. LOL!
I HATE daylight saving - in Australia HALF the year is now daylight saving. It is already dark when the children have to get up for school now and it doesn't finish for another MONTH!!!! What ARE they thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDST sucks (when we lose an hour of course - love it when we gain an hour). Last weekend was hard to begin with - we had to be up at 6am each day for soccer. Losing that hour made it only worse on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBy Thursday I finally started feeling like myself. You know the time change never bothered me when I was younger but in the last 3 years it is taking a toll on me and it take a whole week to recover. Why can't we just leave time alone? There's other fish to fry.
ReplyDeleteITA, Anna (as you know!) DST is a bad idea and now it's also happening way too soon. ARGH.
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing yourself over at urbanmoms.ca - I'll be back here for sure!
