Twitter You're No Help At All

I was put into Twitter time-out for 7 days and it was so frustrating!  For whatever reason Twitter decided to shut down my posting ability and my pleas for help from their "Technical Support" went unheeded.  Not even a robo-email stating "We've received your notice and will get back to you" blah blah blah. Nothing!  For 7 days!

Their website "Help Center" was a joke.  Under the FAQ's for being locked out of your account it said "Wait an hour or so, the lock will clear on its own".  Ahem.  I'm on day 7 and that's not happening. At the bottom of the page it asked - "Still Need Help? Contact Support".  However that took me to a prompt to Reset My Password which would then spin me back to my homepage that was notifying me that my account was locked. Yes! I know!  Round and round I go. So frustrating!!!

The other morning, somehow I was able to find a way to get my account back up and running.  I feel that this tip I found on their site was a fluke because I haven't been able to find it since. All I know is that I'm back chatting with my Twitter pals, sharing things that make me smile, good deal info. and my Instragram photos on my Twitter account now.  It's weird how I felt not having this access for 7 days :-p

If this is happening to you let me share how I was able to regain my Twitterverse access.

  • While at your Twitter Homepage go to "Settings"
  • From the menu that appears on the left of the page click "Apps"
  • On the "Applications" page you will see every app that you have allowed to access your Twitter account.  (Ex. Instagram, TweetDeck/Hootsuite) Click "Revoke Access" to all apps.
  • Refresh the page and click the button to Reset Password
There are certain accounts that I have returned access to my Twitter account and things are so far, so good.  However, it's been 10 days since I sent my first S.O.S. message to their support team and I still haven't heard anything.  *knock*knock*  Twitter, is anybody home?

Have you had issues being locked out of an account?  Did you receive help from a support team or did you figure things out on your own?

Jill of Scary Mommy is doing a linky post about school pictures. You know the ones, possibly you didn't smile a sweet smile, just the smirk of panic. Or you didn't know it was picture day because you had been out sick for a week and you show up in your most comfortable shirt and bed-head. (Yep. That happened to me. The smile was good though!) Well, my scanner isn't working or else I would post a particular picture from Freshman year. Since I don't have a visual, here's the story: I remember my first day of High School. Actually what I remember is the picture taken of me leaving for my first day of High School. I'm wearing a brave smile, but the hair, the hair , my hair style was a nightmare. My two best friends and I were going to be attending a High School out of our district. That was stressful enough. To add to this new-ness we wanted new looks as well. K. was going to sport the Argyle and Alligator shirt look. W. was going for 'All Monogram

My Questions Answered By Chef Pati Jinich - Video

Rob and I have been focusing on finding foods and spices that will help us take some weight off.  I've been slightly obsessed with staying on my exercise track (on week 8 now :->) and hope to get rid of this jiggly belly that has become wa-a-a-ay too comfortable on my body.  The older you get the harder it is to lose weight.  What I would say to my 40 year old self - 'See that pouch starting?  Do your crunches and planks now!  7 years from now it's going to get ugly !' I've found that spices cumin, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and turmeric are noted to increase metabolism.  ( Yes please !)  After a good workout coconut water is more beneficial in regulating your electrolytes, and lower in calories, than sports drinks.  It also contains more potassium than other drinks which is an important component in helping to build muscle which, in turn, helps you burn more calories. And my most surprising discovery - eating avocados help burn belly fat! I&#
