We'll my girls have started the count down, the End-of-the-School-Year count down.  How could the school year almost be over?!  It seems like only a few weeks ago it began.  *snap*  Like that, the days go by.  Are your kids counting down the days too?  I don't have any plans for the summer break yet.  I better get on that.  First things first, party time at the VGNO!

Time For A Cocktail!


Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. White Sugar
1 cup ice cubes
3 Lemons, peel grated and juiced
2 Large mint leaves
2 shots of Vodka
2 Tbsp. Simple Syrup

Directions
Moisten the rim of a martini glass with lemon juice, then dip in sugar.  Set aside.  Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.  Add lemon peel, lemon juice, mint leaves, vodka and simple syrup.  Shake until well chilled, then pour into a prepared martini glass.

Rob and I have been focusing on finding foods and spices that will help us take some weight off.  I've been slightly obsessed with staying on my exercise track (on week 8 now :->) and hope to get rid of this jiggly belly that has become wa-a-a-ay too comfortable on my body.  The older you get the harder it is to lose weight.  What I would say to my 40 year old self - 'See that pouch starting?  Do your crunches and planks now!  7 years from now it's going to get ugly !'
