Time For A Question

When I was 13 "Grease" the movie was big. Big I tell ya'!  And I absolutely loved it.  I wanted to take my friends to the movie for my birthday (remember when movies were like, $2.50?  It's true, they were.)  So here I am all excited about seeing this movie and my mom had to have a talk with me because she was really concerned about the message the main female characters were supporting.  She was unhappy with Sandy changing her style to fit in and I said "Oh mom, that's ok.  I like Rizzo".  That made things even worse!

We cleared it up.  The reason I like Rizzo is because she was so self-assured, so tough.  Something I definitely wasn't.  Ah... to be 13 again... no thank you!  Do you have a story to share of your 13th birthday party?  Please share!

  2. I'm totally clueless when it comes to Teenage girls. This Tween boy thing is also throwing me for a loop. I have no idea what I'm doing. One day they love me the next I am their worse enemy?

  3. Aaaaand this is why I love you so much.... instead of choosing goody-goody Sandy, you liked girl who, whoops!, almost got knocked up by a greaser in the back seat of a beat-up Ford! (Hey, at least she stayed true to herself the entire movie! Can't say the same for Sandy!)
Thanks so much for the linky love. You're such a sweetheart. Miss you much!
    xoxo
