Virtual GNO - Going Pink This Weekend

Hey! Hey!

I'm going to be really active this weekend and participate in the 5K walk for Race For The Cure . I haven't walked that far in a while, so I hope I don't konk out. I'm sure I won't. I'll be surrounded by thousands and thousands of people that are either survivors, or friends of survivors, or those that will never let a loved ones memory fade. There is such an incredible energy and it makes me hopeful everytime. Let's get geared up! Let's have a Virtual Girls Night Out!

Time To Move!

P!NK "So What"

Of course I'm going to play a Pink song ;->

Time For A Cocktail!

*From The Pink Drink Book*

Rasmopolitan
Ingredients:
1 1/4 parts VOX Raspberry Vodka
1/2 parts Cointreau
1 part Cranberry Juice
Squeeze of fresh Lime Juice

Directions:
Mix in shaker half-filled with ice. Pour into a chilled martini glass.

I do believe this will be my drink for the entire weekend. YUMMY!!!

Time For A Game!

Finish this scenario:

"I knew it was too quiet in there. I thought I could leave my 3 yr. old daughter playing quietly in her room with her favorite little dolls, but no. She had to explore. She had to get into "something". When I opened the door I couldn't believe I found her smoothered in ______________ ".

This really happened to me. What do you think she got into?

(If you want to know what she was smoothered in, leave me a comment. I'll tell ya'!)

The VGNO Heart-Shaped Rock Project

The heart-shaped rock has made it safe and sound to Yaya's place. I can't wait to see her picture. It's next stop? Kat's house, that Sassy Irish Lassie.

  8. Oh gosh I can't wait to hear what was covering your little angel's face! If I completed the sentence it would be "dust from my advair inhaler". If you don't know, it's EXPENSIVE prescription steriod asthma medicine and she had opened 15 days worth, just to hear the little pop when she pressed the button. So I was worried not only that my little 3 yr old angel was covered in steriod dust, but that steriod dust cost about $200 a month. FUN DAY!

Have an awesome time at the race, hopefully it doesn't rain on you too much, a little might be nice though. All 4 of us will be at the Duck game, so I'm hoping the rain skips Eugene entirely!

Happy VGNO! Add my friend Sandi to your list of people you're running for! She's 39 and undergoing chemo for breast cancer right now. She's got a husband & two kids and had Hodgkins Lymphoma when we were in Jr High. So that's another person to help keep you going! :)

  9. Good luck with the walk... what a great cause!
Hmmm... if it happened in her bedroom, was it some sort of lotion? Or diaper cream? (Was she too old for that?)
    Happy friday! Happy GNO!

  14. You will do great on your walk Ann! I've always admired breast cancer survivors but now that I know how hard it is just to get though the biopsy phase I am even more in awe.

As for the stuff covering your daughter I'm afraid it's poo and hoping it is only toothpaste.

  17. Diaper Cream... that's what little diva liked to get into - and not regular diaper cream - the kind that is 42% zinc oxide...
It took over 7 times washing her hair to get it out... and her room smelled vaguely of fish (one of the ingredients - cod liver oil).

Waiting patiently for the real story.

Happy VGNO and good walking to you!
