Virtual GNO - Getting Creative + 2 Giveaways!

Well, there is a huge party going on at the BlogHer '09 Conference, but I just couldn't make it. (Sorry Chicago family). Let's get our Virtual Girls Night Out groove on while wishing our BlogHer pals a great time. For those of us that are at home I've got a "virtual vacation" going on. Let's get it started!

New to the Virtual GNO? Welcome! This party has some of the best bloggers around! The original Virtual Girls Night Out is a blog-hopping party that I started last summer. After a very long week I wished for one night away from my precious children and some adult conversation. However, I couldn't find child care so, I did the next best thing and turned to my blog friends. I'm "virtually out" with all of you!

Get Your BLOG Over Here!

To join the blog-hopping fun, check out this VGNO post then sign the MckLinky guest book with your name/blog link. Visit fellow bloggers that have signed in. It's a party so at a party you mingle, right? Go blog-hopping! I want everyone to connect. That's what it's all about.

Time To Groove!

Aimee Allen "On Vacation"

This is my motto for the rest of the summer. "Everything is fine, everything is cool". ;->

Time For A Cocktail!

Absolute Vacation
1 oz Absolut® vodka
1 oz cranberry juice
1 oz orange juice
1 oz pineapple juice
Shake everything with ice; pour into glass filled with ice.

I'm feeling light and breezy already! Yeah baby. I'm on a virtual vacation :->

Time For A Party Game!

We all enjoy a little creative writing, right? Let's play "The Title Says It All". Here's what you need to do to play along. With the MckLinky "guest book" as your guide use the title of the previous blog listed in MckLinky in a sentence, or in a short story. #2 uses #1's blog title, #3 uses #2's blog title, etc. Example: "When I need a laugh, or a shoulder to cry on, I know that I can go to Ann Again... and again." (You really can too :-> ) Be sure to add/insert a link to the blog as well. I've started it out this week. There are some incredible blog titles out there. I can't wait to see your creative writing.

  1. happy friday! again, you are the master of good times, ha ha :)

  2. Your giveaway is great, I think we could use the Kids Rescue Remedy. Stress relief would be a good thing for Delaney, she had a big week with 2 days of "butterflies" over her first gymnastics performance, she did great! But less stress over these things in the future would be great for all of us!

  3. OK not sure where I'm supposed to put this :) But here's my catchy comment using #5's title!

"Why yes, oh YES, Honey, I AM a SHOPAHOLIC MOMMY!" :)

Could be a response to any of my husband's questions about...let's see...the UPS boxes on the porch, the checking account balance, the credit card balance or maybe the shipping confirmations in the email inbox!

  4. My tweet for your contest @JulieChats http://www.twitter.com/juliechats

  5. I'm confused about the game...duh...long week..

    Happy VGNO

  6. Happy VGNO! I like Bach Flower Remedy too.

  7. Oh my! That Bach Kids daydream has my 9 year old written ALL over it. I never knew these products were out there. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to try them :)

  8. Woo hoo - I tweeted too!

  9. I figured you would be one of the bloggers going for sure! Wow! I would love to get the Confidence Remedy...does that stuff actually work?! I need that for my eldest! Wow! Thank you so much for a giveaway and I hope that you have a wonderful, non BlogHer time!

  10. Tweeted! http://twitter.com/HandsHouseHeart/status/2825278877

  11. I'm too lazy to tweet! Even though the Bach stuff sounds great. But I'm never to tired to party with Ann!

  12. I'm gonna go with the rescue remedy. Sadly, I think my munchkin is already stressed. Happy VGNO!

  13. We could all use a little "Daydream" in this house. Happy VGNO!

  14. I'm trying to get my VGNO post posted, but the power keeps going out...we're having a major thunderstorm...Aaaaah! So I'm going to add my Party Game info here just in case...and if I lose power, I'll be sure to stop by everyone's blogs in the morning (since the storm is supposed to pass then be nice and sunny (and hot) tomorrow) and bring hangover remedies... ;)

    OK, Party Game:

While reading The Diary Of A Posh Mommy, I am taken away to a far exotic place, soaking in the sun on a white sandy beach, having Absolute Vacation drinks brought to me by cute cabana boys as I relax and gaze out over the crystal sea. In dreamland, I too, can be a Posh Mom. ;)

    And now for the giveaway...

I would LOVE to try the Daydream Remedy...Princess Nagger could certainly use some help concentrating on some things! ;)

    Happy VGNO! :)

  15. Wish I could join in the fun.. am still away in Florida... be back tomorrow soI will be playing along next week!! :)
    Happy Friday

  16. So you and I aren't at Blogher together! Yay! I hear next year it's in NYC... any way I can start convincing you now to come? ;)
I just love the name Fire Crotch Rocket... there is no way I can put it in a sentence and make it more genius than it already is!
    Happy GNO!

  17. "When I need a good song to listen to I go to Robin's Cinnamon & Honey!"

Hope you have a great weekend Ann. Thanks for throwing another great party! Loving jamming out to this song right now.

    TGIF and Happy VGNO!

  18. Ann's virtual girls night out is an escape from The Daily Grind!

    :) Happy VGNO all!

  19. I am a Super Diva on the Go and am in 3 places at one time. I am at VGNO, at BlogHer (actually Flat Bad Momma) and at home on my comfy couch!

  20. Some time had passed between using Mr. Linky & my comment. (I am behind Ken & Barbie Events).

I had a Ken & Barbie Event to celebrate my 50th Birthday! It was so much fun to party with Barbie. Ken was a great sport and popped out of a cake for us!

  21. What a very fun idea Ann! Thanks! I wrote about being a "Bad Momma", and ironically, the post I'd put up just prior also is a funny story about me being a "Bad Momma". So this worked out perfectly! Check it out if you have time--I think you'll get a laugh out of this one.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks as always, for hosting all of us for this fun virtual party!

  22. Hi Ann, came back to look into Bach a bit more. I like the Confidence booster. Can I use that too?

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I hope you enjoyed your visit.
