Arctic Blast!

Well, what do you know? The Weathercaster's were right. It took them a week and a half, but they eventually got it right. We are in the middle of our "Artic Blast" and we're doing everything we can to take advantage of this amazing snow fall.
LOTS of sledding, LOTS of snow angels and LOTS of baking!

This isn't normal for those that live in Portland, OR so those in the neighborhood are having a great time. (I say this on 'Day 2'. Let's see how I feel on 'Day 5'.)

We can't dig out our car, so it's time for a walk to the store. I thought I'd share some pics from the walk and of our backyard view.

I hope you had fun at our last Virtual GNO! See you next time!

  2. Very pretty and tranquil. We got 11 inches or so just this weekend. It was great until the below zero temperatures blew in today.

My Christmas wish is that it gets colder than 50 degrees here. I don't think it's going to happen though, it was 87 today!!

  16. Well, from someone who is living in a place where we don't get snow, it sure looks pretty! I love how calm snow makes the landscape look. At least in pictures. :-)

  20. I just told my hubby yesterday if we were at home in SC and had a blizzard it'd be exciting. Since I'm in NY visiting family and it's been snowing for a week straight, it's annoying! Ha! Merry Christmas!

  21. Your photos make the snow so lovely! Reality is that Chicago is being bombarded this winter and the cost of road salt is prohibiting the plows from frequenting our streets. We are slip-sliding everywhere and it isn't so lovely just then. Ick!
At least it is a white Christmas. I'm not so sure about a white New Year or White January or White February....

  23. I loved your pictures! Great photos of the chain link fence, bird bath, and lamp post. We are having so so much snow! I missed work today because I high centered my car. It is still snowing outside here! Crazy winter.

  24. Just wondering how you felt after day 10??? :) For some reason I didn't realize you lived in Portland until today...I've been zoning out since Christmas. I'm in Beaverton and we've got the white stuff outside again today? Seriously I think we clicked our heels together this winter and woke up in Kansas! Happy New Year!
