Hey, hey! It's A Monday Rant!

Thanks for hanging out with me this weekend! I hope you met some friendly bloggers. That's what it's all about.
Grab the button on the side and share the party mood!
(Big THANK YOU to Jay at Halftime Lessons! I'm grateful!)

I've got a rant I just have to get out. I am so sick of people not stopping at the corners around my girls school!!!! Here we are, stopping on the corner, looking both ways and people just drive on through with out even slowing down! I just don't get it! Are they thinking "Oh, I can slow down enough so I'll just bump the little tykes. No big deal."
Sometimes it pretty close to the last bell ringing and people plow on through, as if it more important that their child makes it in the door in that split-second before the bell rings and it's no big deal that they've narrowly missed a 1st grader whose run ahead of their parent because they feel their a "big kid now."
MAN!!!!!
Whew!...

This sounds like fun and it will help calm me down.
MissionMonday
Go give it a try!

  1. I've determined that people leave their brains behind the second they get into their cars. For reals! How else to explain their moronic driving?
Gonna grab your button right now and put it on my friends page!

  2. I'm with you. I watched my 6th grader stand for 3 minutes trying to cross at the crosswalk in front of his school while everyone just flew by. Drives me insane. He started waving at them eventually. At least he knows what they are supposed to do.

  4. I hate letting my kids walk to school! I remind them every morning to watch for cars coming out of thier driveways and to make sure drivers see the before they cross the street! People are in to much of a hury to get to work in the mornings!

  9. Hey you. How many VGNOs have I missed lately? I've been sick, and working too much. Neither problem is resolved yet, but I'm taking a break tonight to say hi.

  10. Oh, I'm grabbing that button alright. Also, why is it that I giggle a little bit whenever I see the word "VGNO" anywhere. It almost looks dirty.

  15. Oh darn! I missed the virtual GNO. Next time, I hope! As for your rant, you have every right to be angry. Stupid drivers!!! I wish there was something your school or community could do to make the area more safe.

  16. You should make yourself a nice BIG stop sign to carry down there! Maybe make a citizens arrest or two?

  17. hmm.. a couple of home made speed bumps with nails might do nicely?

  19. We have people who speed in our neighborhood. Also, we seem to have gotten a ton of teen drivers lately. Basically we are screwed and I walk around in a panic!
