Sharing Things I Like

I think I'm supposed to be somewhere today. I have this nagging feeling that I have an appointment, or that some thing is due at school, or that someone needs me today and I can't remember what it is!
I've checked the calendar, my little notebook, the pad of paper by the phone and nothing is there. Is there a deadline I'm missing? I can't get rid of this nagging feeling. Hmmm...
Does this ever happen to you?

Well, let me go in a completely different direction from my normal blog entries and share some things that I truly enjoy. None of these items were gifts, etc. I actually bought them with my own piggy-bank money and am so happy with them. I think my blog pals should know about them.
First off, let me tell ya', I am a lipstick junkie. I'm constantly searching for the perfect lipstick. And here's my latest find. L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lipcolor.
Oh yeah! I've purchased 2 of these and I'm going back for more. The compact is also a little mirror! I prefer the wand applicator, not the lip-stick. (The front of the display clarifies which is which.) Try it. Tell me what you think. (And Jenboglass, you can come up with all the lipstick color names you want. I happen to like your idea of "Gingery Firemaiden".)

Next item, and this is for the 35-and-over crowd; Anti-Wrinkle cream. (Which led my brother-in-law to ask "Why isn't there and Uncle Wrinkle cream?" That's now his nickname. His name is Rick, so it fits.)
I'm also a junkie for wrinkle-be-gone creams and I've found a good one. Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. How intense does that sound?!? It smells great and it appears to be working very well. I don't have any before & after pictures, sorry.
Now, like most creams, this seems spendy to me, and I know that stores like Walgreen's and Rite-Aid have their own versions. In these tough times I'm not above getting the 'generic' version. I know for a fact that Walgreen's version comes in the beautiful red jar as well. And that it smells great too. I'm just saying.

Now here's one for everyone, a laundry detergent. Arm & Hammer Plus Oxy Clean. It works so-o-o well! And the Spring Fresh smells great. (I'm big on smells you might have noticed. Something can be the best product around, but if it doesn't smell good I probably won't use it.)

So there you have it! If you try any of these things let me know what you thought.
Now, I still have that nagging feeling that I'm supposed to be somewhere else. Ugh. Well I'll find out sooner or later by receiving a phone call from someone whose annoyed or having my girls roll their eyes at me when I pick them up from school. It's so fun being a mom some days! ( Major eye roll...)

  1. I have become totally hooked on Covergirl Outlast lipstick. It stays on all day long until I take it off before bed. I'm guessing the L'Oreal version does the same thing. I threw away all my other lipstick, that's how much I love it.

I will definitely try the (Walgreens) Olay cream! Thanks for the tip!

  2. That Loreal lipstidk is my absolute favorite! I use the Auburn shade. It lasts so much longer on my lips than any of the other similar "all day" type lipsticks (though I've never found one to last ALL day, really now).

Maybellines carries my second favorite kind in color 795 or something. I also like a lighter shade of their longlasting lipstick.

My makeup case, desk drawer, and purse, however, have a stash of other lipsticks that I still go to because I'm always sure that "this" lipstick will be "the one!" As if the lipstick will make me so gorgeous and irresistable that I'll never need anything else to be fabulous! :-)

  3. That nagging feeling never happens to me - not because I don't forget things, but because when I forget I TOTALLY forget - I have ZERO inkling that I missed something until the something that I missed lets me know!!!

  7. OMG... I am a TOTAL product junkie. It's baaaad. I was in Sephora today, which is sadly like letting loose a kid into the world's largest toy store. The only thing that stops me from emptying my entire bank account there are those pesky monthly bills! Anyway! I totally splurged (shhh!!!) and got Philosophy's Micro Delivery Exfoliating Wash (Yep, this over 35er has seriously dull skin! What up with THAT?) and Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage for my scary uneven-toned skin. (Thanks crazazy hormones!) I could have bought so much more I managed to control myself. This time. :)

  9. I like good smelling laundry detergents too but my little munchkin has skin allergies and breaks out everytime I change detergents. Poor little guy. I have to sew fabric over his jeans buttons cause he's allergic to nickel. Oh well, can I smell you? Just once? Please? Aren't you supposed to be somewhere?

  10. Ooooh--thanks for the tips! I do have an Olay cream--but I'm not sure which one--that brand always seems to work well though. I have never tried that lipstick or deterdent--looking forward to your recommendations!!

  11. I will try the Olay...I love good suggestions (and I like buying creams that are not $200 an ounce!). For laundry detergent I use Trader Joe's (it actually works really well and smells awesome)! It's all natural and no petro chemicals. Actually, all my cleaning products are all natural. No more bleach in this house!

  14. Nagging thoughts of being somewhere but missing it must have been you realizing I was screaming out! Blarney was having an absolutely horrible day yesterday. I didn't sleep lastnight worth a damn despite even taking a prescrip sleep aide. Goes to show you can't pick your relatives ~ need I say more.
Anywho ~ after my sleepless night I am lathering on the Olay 7 hoping the bags under my eyes will go away. No luck so far but I do love how the O7 makes my skin feel.
