Did Someone Say "Broken Halo"?

I can't believe how worn out I am. I actually had an action-packed weekend. (And it didn't involve going to see "The Dark Knight", either.
P-O-W! W-H-A-M!)
Friday night I gathered with fellow Frampton followers for a great show. He sounded sharp and everyone was in good spirits.
Saturday was a family party and it was great because we had visiting family from San Diego. The last time I saw this cousin he looked just like John Schneider from "The Dukes of Hazard". This time around the height was there, but the hair was not. (And thank goodness neither were the bell-bottoms!)
Then Sunday, helloooo! We had a neighborhood yard sale that turned into quite the party. It was a hot day and I thought I would just stick to water, or lemonade. But darn if my neighbor Bonnie didn't come over with a beautiful pint of Broken Halo from our hometown favorites, the Widmer Bros. This gesture got the ball rolling!
(Let's just say that by the end of the day people were getting some very good deals. 'Microwave for a $1 ?!? Sure, heck ya'! Enjoy!')
We ended the night with a gorgeous boat ride courtesy of one of our fine neighbors. It was totally unexpected and completely appreciated.
I'm still trying to get my land-legs back. (Or is it the remains of the Broken Halo? No worries. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!)

  4. Sounds like a busy and fun weekend! I like the name Broken Halo... have to try me some! Our weekend was highlighted by spending Saturday at the Bibbee/DeAlton Field at the Evergreen Aviation Museum, then trying to clear off and move a bookshelf to get to the bedroom phone jack on Sunday to install a part for wireless internet (why oh why isn't it working???!!).
    Cheers!

  6. My own brothers are on their way to being like the Widmer Bros...John and Paul brought over John's own beer for the wedding, and was a complete hit! They took a trip up to Seattle in March, and I told them they HAD to stop off at Widmer Bros. One of these days we're going to all do a big beer tour of Ore...Glad you had so much fun! :)
