Tuesday Tunes

I'm back from a long weekend away. And even in green and serene surroundings I can't get this song out of my head.

  1. YEAH! The Kooks! I am going to see them in concert on Saturday! I am sure all my friends will be glad so I will stop talking about it.

  2. INGREDIENTS
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow or lemon cake mix
1 (3.5 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
    1 teaspoon dried tarragon
1 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
    1/3 cup lemon juice
    4 eggs
    2/3 cup vegetable oil

    DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix. Crumble the dried tarragon into a fine powder and mix with the cake and pudding mixture. Make a well in the center and pour in lemon-lime soda, lemon juice, eggs and oil. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

I love this lemon cake, but I think it's a little decieving since it's semi-fruit- unfortunately I ate way too much!

  3. Hi Ann,

I linked you up to my blog - took a while, it seems like the tasks of everyday life are getting in the way of what is more important ;)

Im glad you enjoyed my tales of the cricket, I do it all again in July as I said. Its one of those sports that need generous helping of alcohol to get you through the day.

Don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing though!

  4. Hi Ann

I know what you can tell people when they admire your naturally flawless complexion. Tell them you keep yourself young by keeping up with all the young folks' great music (I think you are more musically savvy than my teenagers. Brava!). And I love "mommy's juice box".
